Yo! MTV Raps is a mix of rap videos, interviews and live in-studio performances.
Working with director Olivia Emes, lighting director Max Conwell was asked to light two music performances creating separate and distinctive designs using the studio’s resources.
One for UK rapper Jords, featuring low level lighting from different angles forming artistic shadow play on the wall behind swapping to a saturated crimson background.
The other for Youngs Teflon and Tiny Boost, with keying in blue and contrasting with the white LED wall behind producing ripple movement and solid white out for the choruses.
